Dear Unico Family,

I received the Service Above Self $2,500 Grant back in 2018 when I graduated from Montville Township High School. I wanted to reach out and extend my extreme thankfulness to you and your whole foundation. I have wanted to write this for a while, but was waiting to graduate college before reaching out. The grant given by your foundation truly changed my life. Before starting college, I had an idea of where I wanted to go, but was still undecided. I still remember going through the interview process for the grant and that day I mentioned I wanted to serve in the military. I can now say, thanks to this grant I was able to graduate from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in History and commission as an Second Lieutenant in the United States Active Army. I have been able to accomplish many things in the past few years. With your generosity and aid to my schooling and God’s blessings, I was able to pay for school, graduate, and accomplish my goals. I have made many friends and even met my beautiful wife Lori all because of your help. Lori and I are extremely thankful and hope you continue to aid others. Your grant and foundation do truly change people’s lives and I am evidence of that. Thank you for being a stepping stone in my life and for supporting my goals.

Colossians 3:23 (CSB)
“Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people.”

Very Respectfully,
Cameron Horn

***The Montville Chapter received this inspirational thank you note from Cameron Horn, the Chapter’s 2018 recipient of its “Service Above Self” educational grant of $2,500. The grant is awarded each year to a Montville High School senior with Italian heritage who will be attending college and whose record of community service during high school exemplifies UNICO National’s motto of Service Above Self. It is students like Cameron that inspire the members of the Montville Chapter to continue their efforts to raise funds so that educational grants can be awarded to exceptional students that may be life changing.
